I was reading about someone catching a Pacu in the North Carolina section. I never heard of one so while searching I found this site, at least its new to me. Very interesting reading, especially the records section.

Back when i had big aquariums, i used to have two pacu. The pretty much resemble a piranha , but without the teeth. The main difference is they can get huge. I used to tinker with big aquariums, but once i had kids, i shut it down because i was afraid of one falling on them. I had Tiger Oscars, Jack Dempseys, Cichilds, Plecostamus(Bottom Feeder), Yellow Severum, Chocolate Severum and a few Red Tailed Sharks. My two cents.
