    Default Berkley Gulp Maggots

I saw some in the store a few days ago and thought to myself - They look like they would be better than nibbles. Anyone tried these yet? The ones I saw looked a little greener than those pictured. Just the color I like to use.

I have used them trout fishing and they worked well. I have also used the Berkey earthworms where live bait isn't allowed. Never tried them on crappie though.

Mopar becarefull on using them where no live bait is allowed. I guess you are fishing in a trophy section for trout. I got a friend that is a TWRA agent and he told me that artifical did not include berkley stuff. Like dipping flies in scents if caught is a fine. I just wanted to let you know cause I thought the same thing you did. It is not a "real" earthworm but check with the state and they might say different.
If in doubt, cross their eyes!!

Tell you what I just started doing but haven't been able to go enough to really test it out against the nibbles. I bought a bag of chartruse Gulp bass worms and cut one up into very small strips and have been adding that to my jigs. Very tough stuff and will stay on for a lot of bites, no more nip it and the nibble is gone. Also trying some earth worm Gulp. It is not as tough, hoping to pick up a few brim doing that but no luck so far. Anyone got any tips on catching brim while crappie fishing. Have caught a few at Barnett in the spring when they are on the beds.

The ONLY thing we have ever had hit the Gulp maggots is green sunfish. Call Grubco and order some waxworms - Roberta
