Default Need to replace my braid

I have used remington Braid for over 8 years and I have finaly wore it out and I need to get some more. The problem is I can't find Remington braid any more.

I use the braid in my spinning reels for distance casting and because it floats. The main idea is super long casts since I fish from shore mainly.

What does everyone recommend as far as braids now? Only ones I can get localy are 2 types of Spider Braid unless I get lucky and find others somewhere else.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.

Power Pro is some of the best braid you can buy.

Have you turned your Remington around on your reel?

If you haven't done this, be sure you do. No sense spending money on new braid when the braid on your reel is still good as new when you turn it around. I have six year old braid that will last another six when i need to reverse it.

I use white 50# "Izorline Spectra" on my Shimano spinning reels....(500 yds for $45).......won't work on bait casting reels.....all the others are too stiff for me....this stuff is as limp as sewing machine thread.....get long casts.......once you try it you will love it.....I have been useing it for about 8 years.....although designed for salt water use I use it primarily for bass fishing.....never broke one off.....see link below.....

power pro is the ticket but if you want very long cast try 2/10 fire line. It is like shooting a Hi Powered rife v/s 22 .
