More expensive but good - Optima Blue Top - sealed, no maintenance and long lasting.

I use the everstart Deep cycle from Wally World for the trolling motor and I think a Delco for the cranking batt. So far so Good. Now if I could just get my on board charge to work right......

I use Everstarts from WalMart also have used them for 4 years. Have replaced 2 of them . there is a store close to everywhere. I only have 40 hp so all 3 of my batts are 27 series deep cycle . Good luck in whatever you choose.

I like delco voyagers. Last set I had were five years old. I think there are several good batteries but I belive what helps the most is a good on board charger.

Beginning my second year on the Everstart Marine battery from Walmart. So far...so good. It's cheap enough to replace if it'll last a couple years. Best trolling battery I ever had was a Bass Pro Trolling battery but it was expensive, close to a hundred and that was a few years ago (1997). Got 5 years out of 'er.

I have great luck with Delco Voyagers last year replaced all three, the ones replaced were from 1998 I purchased the boat in June 2004 those batteries still lasted a year. Also own another boat that was purchased in 1999 it has the original Delco Battery still going strong.
