I'd switch between swimming 1/32 & 1/16 oz jigs or jig & cork. I switch colors around until I started catching something. If that didn't work, I may troll until I could find where they were.
I'm heading out to go fishing Friday and I'm targeting LM Bass and Black Crappies. I'm thinkin' a small white roadrunner with a hand tied white marabou tail and a hand tied red marabou skirt might just do the trick. Anybody try anything like that? Water temps are in the low to mid 60's and the depth of water is anywhere from 2 feet to 15 feet. Where would you start first if you were there and does that jig sound good to you?
Sure could use some advice.
Thanks Ahead,
Where you go is less important than how you take the steps.
But don't forget the Roadrunners

If you are headed out Friday and plan on making your own roadrunners you better get to ordering unless you have all the stuff to make them in inventory already.
You might have to try a bunch of colors if they wont' hit. Been several threads where people had to change up baits until they found what the fish wanted.

I guess I miss-stated. I have Roadrunner jig heads in white and chartreuse. I was wondering about using marabou in different colors for the body. I have the equipment to tie my own flies so the tools and supplies are not a problem. Just wondering what y'all thought of the idea as I'm still fairly new to crappie fishing.

Sounds like a good plan to me. Should give the road runners a little life.
Look forward to reading your report Good luck.
