Hi all,
I have been reading thru the posts, and keep reading about long lining and spider rigging. What are these methods? How do you do them?
Are they just trolling (long lining), and drift fishing (spider rigging)?
Also, how do you 'push' your lures?
Sorry for the basic questions.
Thanks,
kb

long line trolling is dragging the lures well behind the boat (long line out)
spider rigging is dragging the lures literally/nearly under the boat
pushing is dragging the lures on vertical lines, usually accomplished by adding heavy weights
drift fishing is dragging your lures by wind power, or current, without the aid of electrical or gas power
side pulling is dragging your lures by means of a trolling motor mounted on the side of your boat
sculling is dragging your lures by means of a short paddle for movement
That's my definitions of them, anyway

Ah, great. I will be fishing mostly from my kayak, but have done a lot of trolling and drifting while fishing for stripers and blues in the ocean.
