    Default will march be a good time to hit toledo bend?


    i am planing a trip to toledo bend. so i would like to know what the crappie bite will be like in march? do the crappie start to spawn around this time of year or are they done with spawning by then?

    I don't know about March but the lake is packed with crappie fishermen right now.

    March is a great time to get into the spawning crappie on the north end of TB. It's going to be a little diffrent this year with the low water. You won't have to deal with any bushes though. Main creeks off the lake will be a good place to start looking for spawners. Good luck let me know how you do

    Hope you can delay your trip. My experience is April, around the middle of the month would probably be best. Take a look at the fish and game report for this lake for the past several years. This is the link http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/fishboat...shreport.phtml
