pretty fish
I have seen pictures of them, I have caught some with slightly gold tint but not that much
I caught this crappie today in a small reservoir in SE Virginia.
Anyone ever see one like this before? It was kinda funny. When I caught it another boat was passing by and said "nice" and I was like, "it's yellow". Kinda odd.

Someone needs to check the urine content of that lake!

that was funny feelay
its due to the contents of the lake...the lake prob. has a real leafy bottom...the decay from the leafs stain the water witch in turns stains the fish as i understand it...the bass/bream we catch back come in fla in a check looks like that...i wouldnt think there would be any prob with eatting them..

I don't doubt that the bottom is covered with leaves but visibility on this lake is around 2'-3'. This reservoir also has fliers in it which are not found in many waters. Maybe there is a correlation?
For those who have never seen a flier.
Also, this reservoir was closed for 3 years and 8 months. They replaced the spill way and pump station. (water supply reservoir) Since it reopened on May 1, I have caught 540 crappie and this is the only one that was yellow.
