    Default Triple at Smithville

Crappie, whites and 1 (17in) walleye this morning at Smithville. Put in at Little Platte and fished north to W Bridge (caught most of the fish from Sailboat Cove and south). Jigs and Smithwick rogues.

Did see a catfish swimming with his head above water and had to troll over to take a look. It was a snapping turtle with the tail of the catfish swallowed and the head of the cat above the water line. Pretty neat day to be on the water.

Scott did you catch the whites and walleye by the golf course.
May all your live wells be full.

I caught most of the whites by the golf course and the walleye along the face of the main lake just south of Sailboat Cove. There is rocky stair step just below the water level next to a weed line. The best white action was inside the Little Platte ramp, directly across from the boat ramp.
