    Default twain 6/6

the odds were stacked against us, but a good day in the middle fork. started off with no trailer lights. check suv, no power supply to the wiring harness. switch to truck. half hour late we leave. get minners, head to secret ramp. ramp closed due to high water. I should know this, I was here last weekend and saw that the lot was underwater. get to southfork ramp, now an hour late. and alot of dead minners already. fishing started off slow, but we dont give up and soon we find a pattern in the chanell. fish were on big structure 'bout 7feet deep over 30ish fow. orange jig heads with dark bodies and and a dead minner. and dont forget the crappie candy. I'm sure we missed alot of bites due to wind, but we both caught over 50 fish with 2 limits of good fish, 2-14+, another four over 12" and the rest were mostly 10-12". one 15" channel cat to boot. I just we had more beer and I should have remembered the cards game in time. thanks jon.

the water im middlefork mas suprisingly clean. givin' the lake is still 14' high. cant see a white jig about 10" deep, but to me it wasnt bad. water temps had cooled off to 76-82 degrees, from about 86or more last weekend. might hit it again thurs, I'll let yall know how I do.

Secret ramp? Have used it for 25 years as well as lots of others. Grew up across the river from there! Hunt ford! Good location for a trot line or two. But have no idea of a secret location. Bruce
