man this could of been UGLY!
baller and i headed to toronto last friday and saturday, it was a little tough, managed 23, had 15 quality fish...beautiful and light wind's. anyway friday when we pulled the boat out we heard like a squeeling everytime we turned. thought it was in the truck, sounded like it. then saturday on the way home same thing. anytime we would hit a little bump or turn the steering wheel it would make a horrible little sqeel, could of sworn it was coming from the truck... we stopped twice and didn't notice anything wrong. got home and i was unpacking the truck and ed was getting ready to disconnect the trailer and i heard him say OMG, jeff come look at this. the trailer hitch was cocked at about a 30 degree angle on the ball of the truck, bout halfway on. the steel on the tongue of the trailer had cracked on both sides about an inch long,, could of broken at anytime. we were damn lucky. driving 70 mph in traffic on the way home, man o man, we counted our blessing's for sure. now iv'e gotta figure something out cuz a buddy and i are suppose to leave for a smallmouth trip to minnesota in two week's, oh and my truck is leaking a lot of antifreeze as well. was thinking bout cancelling but we will be out $500 on our deposit for the cabin. i hope it all work's out. just wanted to share that with you all, check all your stuff and then again before a long trip...we did but did'nt notice anything wrong before we headed home.
