I've used RR's for over 30yrs ... why, 'cause they catch fish !! I've mostly used the marabou/chenile version, but don't see why the "bubble belly" wouldn't work just fine. After all, I'm using Panfish Assassins on plain jigheads, and catching good fish with them ... and a "bubble belly" and a Panfish Assassin are very, very similar looking. (biggest difference is a "bb" HAS a belly - the "PA" is flat on the bottom/belly)
Mostly I use 1/16oz, and occasionally the 1/32oz. I even have a pack of the "heads", to which I can attach various different "bodies". I mostly cast them, but have had success trolling them. Some of the biggest Crappie I've ever caught (on artificials) have come on Roadrunners.
Solid Chartreuse & solid Pink have been my most productive. There used to be one that (the color) was called "Peacock" .. Chartreuse head, Teal body, Chartreuse tail. It was a "killer" color !! Unfortunately, Blakemore discontinued it (and has no plans to restart making it - I've already inquired). They have introduced a "new" color to the marabou series - grey. It looks pretty good, but I haven't gotten ahold of any ... yet.
Looking at the "bubble belly" series .. I like all of them. And, if you want a larger "selection" of body colors ....... check these out:

(NOTE: it would appear that "solid pink" is no longer available, either - I don't see it on the Blakemore website)
