If you are going to grand lake. Try the brush up in the quiet cut off channels just off the main water ways. I got into some smallmouth the otherday with a 1/4 oz. white head/firetiger skirt spinnerbait. One weighed 4.7 lb. and so full of eggs it would have weighed 3 lb after she layed them.

Sweet. Thanks for the report. I have heard of folks catching them on that lake but I never have. I still have yet to catch a smallmouth in my life.
