Boat is hooked up, rods are ready, coffee ready to turn on!
Planning to leave the house by 5:30am to be on the water by 6:30am.

Sorry the date on this thread should be today 5-28....not 5-27.

    Here is my fishing report.
On the water at camp branch 6am off the water at 2pm. 8hrs fishing.

I spent most of the day in crows creek dipping trees. 8' to 20' of water.
Caught over 20 dinks and 4 keepers. Was moving around tree to tree fishing with 1/32oz jig very slow presentation.
One of the stands of trees gave up a nice 13'' long slab in 12' of water about 8' down.
Caught a 24'' channel cat on my ultra light........I did get it in the boat thanks to Power Pro Braided 8lb line. Braided line is awesome. I had to horse it around alittle to keep it out of the trees. Man was I excited when I got it in the boat!
Took my net out the last fishing trip.....had to go in with the hand and grab it!
Totally trashed the little 1/32 oz jig.

I had my white hat and towel shading my neck and sun screen on, but it was getting HOT out there.

This was the first time I ever dipped trees. I really enjoyed it.
I have some pics, but am having trouble imbedding them. I'll keep trying.

Nice job. It's always fun hooking a cat jig fishing. Nothing like pushing the ultra-light tackle to it's limits. Good job today.
