    Default Rod Holder

i have been playing with plans to make a new spider rig set-up with out drilling holes in my boat...this is the plan i think im going to go with...it will just slide over the seat post and the set screw will hold it and place and keep it from turning...i will be able to use it on the front for spider rigging or on the back for pulling cranks...let me know what you think and if you think it will work out

I tend to agree, if you move I think the rod holder will move, but it may not. looking forward to how it works, please let us know.

Install another base and put a short pole in it off to the side except you don't want anymore holes in your boat.

i hate 4 bases in the front deck now....the rod holders will be on two of the 2 and we will sit in the other two...we wont be sitting on the same post the rod holders are on...i think it will work but i might have to grind flat spots on the post for the set screw

Whats the big deal of drilling into the deck and placing a small base? After all you have four seat bases now which is kinda strange? Not sure why four?
When you have the holders mounted to the very front of the deck then the rest of your floor is clear and unobstructed.
But hey it's your boat so I'm sure what ever you do you will make it work. Good luck.
