Thumbs up Smithville Tournament Results: 05-23-2010

Windy morning to go out, but 13 boats put in at 7:00am. Great time!

I know not everyone could stay around for the weigh in, but here's the group that made the picture. I'm not even gonna try and remember all the names and faces, but got to see a lot of old friends and meet some of the new guys. What a turnout!

Weighed in top 7 fish. I know TnRidge and I weren't the only ones who struggled to get 7, but our fish were all either under 9" or over 10". We had one that went over 13, but it wasn't enough. Had a great time catching fish, though!

Congrats to Brushman and his ringer partner from Kansas doing a border raid! Hey...did anyone check him for a MO License?! :D

Great time, everyone, and thanks again to Alex for all the work he did putting it together. There's already talk about doing another one in July sometime....

    Tight lines, all....

Oh, I almost forgot...Brushman's fish weighed 7.1lbs (or was it 7lbs, 10 oz?) I don't know, but those things were MONSTERS for Smithville, IMO!

Man only a mother could love any of them faces:D

Congrats to the winners. With conditions at that lake right now anybody that caught some keepers were winners to.

Maybe I will try to make the July gig.....Alex needs a tongue lashing in person.
Progressive Marine Insurance SUCKS!. If you hit a submerged object they will try to prove manufacturers defect....stay away from them.

Thank you Alex for putting on a fun tournament today . We had a good turnout . I enjoyed fishing the tournament today with Joedog (Slabdog) and meeting the CDC members who showed up . Congrats to Brushman and his partner ! I would also like to commend them on donating a portion of their winnings to crappie.com . They are a class act .
What I enjoyed is the fellowship and sharing of information on fishing . We broke out the map after the weigh in and shared some of the spots we all had caught fish in .
Smithville Lake does have some nice slabs , along with the short fish .

Great people, great time, and and great turnout. Thanks to all that came. Congratulations to Brushman and Partner on the win - $260.00. They had some nice slabs. Rodney donated a portion of his winnings to CDC; wonderful gesture. Below are the weigh in totals.

    7lbs 10oz Brushman and Partner
    5lbs 02oz Birddogs52 and KCCrappie
    5lbs 01oz Double D and Son
    4lbs 00oz Leeinmo and Triton
    3lbs 10oz TNRidge and Joedog
    3lbs 10oz Blackdogs and Partner
3lbs 08oz STL Crappie Nightmare and Partner
    3lbs 03oz Apkape

There was talk about putting another tournament together around the end of June. I'm sure as the time gets closer, we'll put up another poll together.
