    Default Truman Lake 5/22/10

The Shriners Crappie tournament was held today out of Long Shoal Marnia, and the fishing was tough which I think we all knew it would be, be a long time when 7 fish didn't break 7 pounds..... 6.87 won with 7 fish and OSS finished 5th with 5.33 and like normal they paid back 4 places..... Double D ended up with one of the big crappie pots, and I think Ranger 397 finished about 10th...... so MDC guys done okay for a tough day and really windy..... talked to Hardhunter2 and he won the company tourn. that he was in, so good job Matt...... think when this water coming in settles down and the warming temps the bite will be getting good........I know with crazy Ed I took some wild rides today through the trees, and they had some big thorns on them...... he is bon i fide crazy.......

Not a bad finish, Monty. Fishing is tough right now. I tried to call you on my way back from the lake yesterday. Then I saw this afternoon that I had missed a call from you. I found some good fish up Old Brushy fishing the slop and pitching jigs at the banks. Had to catch 10 shorts to every goodun tho. Junebug/chartreuse was the color the fishies preferred.
