    Default Rain gear - mold

Fished last weekend in a steady drizzle and caught a ton on gills and redear, got home and the front moved in and had to clean the fish in a downpour. Between cleaning the fish and attempting to put the boat up in a monsoon, I left my and my sons rain gear in the boat. Now the both have a strong smell of mold that I can't seem to get out. Any suggestions? Or should I toss them and get some new ones?

Wash and dry according to manufacturers directions then spray with Scotchguard and let dry again. Should be good as new.

Baking soda absorbs smells. You could try it a number of different ways. I pour it on my hunting boots to absorb any foreign odors, then rinse it off. You could just pour it on them, or make a mixture with the bs and water to wash them in, or just seal them in a container with a lid and an open box of bs. Hope one of these help you out, I know I use it for a lot of different things.

When next needed just put them "BAD BOYYZ" on and SUCK IT UP!!
I tried to remedy the same exact thing once before and will never do it again!
Trust me when you put them back on and need them they will remind you of one of the best fishing trips you have ever had!!
