man my garden has exploded in the last few weeks. my purple hulls are up about a foot tall and my tomatoes all have blooms, and i have about 25 actual tomatoes. my cukes and squash are going good too. i will try to post some pics this weekend. they are finally big enough to fertilize. so next week they should go bonkers.

Mark, Congrats on the garden growth.. I didn't want to mess with one this year, so I planted stuff that I didn't have to do much with... a couple rows of cukes, couple of cantelopes, and a couple of watermelon. And my wife planted a few maters and peppers.

Mark, I've been meaning to get pictures on here but too much happening at home right now. I will try though. I've picked about 40 pounds of snapbeans so far. It should have been more but the rain that finally got here got here to late. Now with the rain we've had, the okra grew so fast you could almost hear it. They went from 6 and 8 inch plants to 2' tall in a matter of days. They look superb. The mators are 3' tall and full of them and I've picked my first cukes this week. After another picking in the beans, they're coming out to make room for melons and cantaloupes. In the fall, I'll plant more beans and hopefully have enough rain to let them grow to their full potential.

My fig trees are going strong and I will eat my first one today or tomorrow. It's what call a breba, a fig growing on last years wood, as compared to the main crop that grows on this years new growth. It's the only one on the tree and is abnormal as this particular tree is not know for growing breba. Most of my young 1 and 2 year old trees are doing well and a few have figs on them. I'll try to get pictures of everything this weekend. I'm sorry to say that none of the cuttings you sent me rooted. We'll have to wait until the winter time to get cuttings.

I might even try to fish this week end, something we haven't done in a while. I hear that the gills and google-eye are hitting like crazy. I just have to try.
