Anybody fish Champion lake?

Is it worth checking out? I live in the Memphis area and am always looking for good places to fish for crappie within reasonable driving distance. The COE lakes in Mississippi are great but 'Butla is really the only one close enough to justify driving to unless you can stay all day which I rarely can.

rivers at 22 so its probably accessable. I quit fishing all those lakes a couple years back. The asian carp were such trouble and they really hurt the crappie population. I've heard a few good reports from the chute nearby champion.
