Default Anyone with shore fishing spots???

Hey guys, just wanted to know if anyone has some good shore fishing spots for crappie around Anoka, Blaine area. My truck is in the shop to get a rebuilt trans so I'm out of luck until next week. And since I'm off work this whole week thought I'd give shore fishing a try. And advice would be great. Thanks.

    Welcome to the forum!
I don't do much shore fishing, but if you stop at a tackle store and look for the twin cities shorefishing maps by Sybil Smith, she has one for both west and east metro that tells where to find the best shore fishing and public fishin' piers, plus what species are in the spots. good luck!

Thanks for the tip. I'll go give it a shot. I got a couple of those books but not the one you mentioned. The ones I have aren't so good. Seems like there aren't up to date or something. But like I say I'll see what that book can offer me. Any good jigs you guys suggest?

Try fishing Long Lake in New Brighton. There's a fishing pier at the access that you can catch walleyes from in the evening. Also if you get to Minnetonka there is lots of shore fishing opportunities along County Road 15 just past Wayzata.:D

Try fishing Flu-Flu's or get a hold of Jiggin' Joe.He has some great jigs to throw at em'.

I have been having lots of action on the gulp alive minnows in 1 and 2.5 inch sizes on a 1/32 ounce lead head. I have also got lots of fish on 1.5 inch glow tubes. good luck!
