My father has lived at pomme since about 1991 and he has had trouble finding crappies there. Is the crappie fishing good there?
I have done alot of pleasure boating there.....its a nice little talked about lake.
I boated there alot around 1993 to 96 and noticed some bigger pleasure boats were starting to move in....is that the case now in the summer months?

slab fishing is great in the summer the spawn is tough most years

the main lake brush piles 16 to 25 foot of water after the water starts warming up is the best

alot of 12 to 14 inch crappie

the big boats really are not a problem exept on the holiday weekends

    "noticed some bigger pleasure boats".....

What I have noticed some pleasure boats who "plow" the water. Of course, there are other boats too that just don't know how to get their boat on plane.....they merely plow the water.

LOZ is also loaded with numerous 3 lbrs I agree musky bob, pomme is the worst lake in the 48 states on "plowing". Most of em need to take a boaters course.

Plowing is definitely a problem, catching good crappie in the heat of summer is not.

Its a sad but true fact, there are NO fish at Pomme, no crappie, no bass, no muskies, and certainly no walleye. Truman and stockton is the place to go. We call the big boats "refugee boaters" as they are usually refugees from Lake of the Ozarks, they are too small for LOZ but on Pomme they are a big duck on a small pond. From about 6 p.m. on Friday to 5 p.m. on sunday its bad, rest of the time its pretty quiet.
