    Default smithville 5/13


    rained out from work today.fished from 11 to 3pm.caught fish in the same holes ,just 3 feet deeper under a bobber.landed my first slab females of the year.2 at 14 inches the eggs were falling out of there bellys.caught a few between 9 and 12 they were all males.they stopped at 2pm.not one bite in the new water.fished honker cove.

    Thanks... I'm headed for the lake this afternoon. Plan to fish until sunset. First trip of the season. Will be fishing minnows under a float... and casting a jig if the minnows don't get any attention.

    No way...you caught something other than short fish? LOL After reading all of the naysayers. I was hoping to have the lake to myself.
