I have made my own slip bobber knots with the same knot in the first video using bowstring fiber . Make sure the knot is wet and very tight , or they will slip on the line guides . Burn the tag ends after cutting .
This year I went out to get my usual spring crappie tackle: slip bobbers and slip bobber knots. My local store sells 5 foam slip bobbers for $.99 and 15-20 slip bobbers knots for $2.99, Being the ever “frugal” angler that I am, I wanted to see if I could make my own slip bobber knots. Well, off to Youtube I went. I found a couple of good videos on how to make your own slip bobber knots. Just wanted to pass it on to any other “frugal” anglers out there.

I use the first one, with dental floss, it works well, and if your even more frugal then you can make your own bobbers with styro-foam and coffee stir sticks and use a small bead to catch the knot. Works good, gotta get the knot tight like TN said, but it will slide if you want to adjust your depth.

Wow, the economy in MO must suck. Trying to cut a 4 dollar fishing budget to 3 dollars. To tie the things you must work for about 5 cents an hour? My time is more valuable than that. :D
It's not duck season so I have to do something... :D
