Default Stockton Lake Fishing Report 5/05/12

water is clear,to sparkling clear in the maze creek area, adams branch area clear and 65dg. water temp, it was windy but I just fished a couple new areas and coves so stayed out of the wind, caught probably 50 nice crappie, all in 17 to 25 F.O.W. caught a bunch of little crappie 9 to 10 in. on the banks, about every bank had crappie on them, but like I said all small, well some were keepers but I tossed the little buggers back let them little fire balls spawn, make more for later. just kept 11 in and up . I lost 6 right at the boat, they looked like keepers, and lost two in the net, jig just fell out, bummer. anyway ended up with 11 keepers, nice day on the water. thanks for reading.

kind words hothead, but I get my butt handed to me often on stockton, well use to. hear lately been branching out a bit trying new areas, and its paying off, took some advice from several guys that fish different areas that I do, we traded spots I told them some of mine that they never fished before, and they told me some of thers. good trade

radioactive no damage, monett about 12 miles west got hit pretty good, no people hurt.

gator maze is getting good and now I am ready to try up on the north end a bit, might have to get that big fiberglass boat of you out. Idle speed only..

speck long line trolling and tight line slow trolling is comming up soon, keep in touch and I will show you one spot and one spot only to fish.
