    Default Can you find the heating element in this Kenmore dryer pic?


    I am the horseshoer not the dryerfixer. I am offering $10,000.00, a 2010
    truck/boat/motor/trailer pkg., some gold ingots, and 51 impure wimmen for the problem-solving answer.

    I assume its an electric dryer, that being the case, right hand side look at the bottom of the metal cover, shoulod b e a couple sheet metal screw holding the heating element in place. You have two temp sensors on teh side of teh heating element cover, one at top and one at the bottom. Plus there are some sensors on teh left side, exhaust side. Verify your temp sensors are working properly, your have to test them for continuity, use an Ohm meter. If the sensor is open, the dryer will not fire up the heating element. Safety feature. Verify the ehating element is getting power too. Generally the problem is the sensor, not the heating element.

    the heating element will slide out the bottom. you will have to tip the dryer forward. There may be a few screws towrad the top to hold the elemnet in place, look for an access panel inside the dryer drum.
