I don't see why not. I use one for trolling. My only complaint would be that the metal eyes bend really easy.
Any reason that these 12' rod / reel combo's wouldn't work well for spider rigging?
Thanks!
Willie

what is spider rigging?
Basically it is using pole holders, holding multiple rods for each angler in the boat, for the purpose of slow trolling ... makes the boat profile look like a "spider" (or multi-legged critter). It puts multiple baits in the water at one time, and spreads them out to cover a wide area.

Thank You, Almost could be circus act if all hit at same time, wow! Luv's his crappies.
If I'm in the fish ill reel a few poles in because there's no way to handle more than 3 fish at a time.
"If only my government job allowed me more time to surf the forums..."You mean you haven't a comp. @ home, or you wish you could waste tax payers money surfing on the job? No need to reply! Seems a bit of trouble knowing where in the column they are, then making wt. adjustments, then losing them on finder, than finding again at a different level, unless you make many runs over same area, I,ve also read that craps search for forage looking up, then at what depth to rig above if this is true.
