The grandson looked out the window and said "go for ride in papa's boat " OK Debbie lets go! Thought about Smithville ? No need to drive there when I can go 2 miles from the house and catch all the short crappie we want :D No length limit on this lake butt Debbie did find 5 keeper size fish 0 for me and lots of shorts. We did have some good help in the boat and had some fun for a couple hours.

Nice catch ! One question . Can I fish out of a boat with a 40hp motor if I just use the trolling motor ? If not , I guess I'll just have to fish off the bank .

You can use the TM only and be ok.

this lake has a 10hp limit but I do see people use there big motor to unload and load and even ideal around. don't know if its legal, butt its all legal tell you get caught !! I've been told by guys out there that it's OK as long as you ideal butt have not ask a park ranger. maybe someone on here has that info

I could say that I spent most of my time helping are 3 year old grandson or with all the wind trying to keep the boat wright or I could say OK your wright she hooks'em and I cooks'em:D

That's what it's all about , no matter who catches them . It's good to see the family catching fish .
