Take a Bream about big as your hand and use it for bait on the hook. LOL

Have a guy looking for a Shark Hook and ordered these for that. Also have a buddy thats going fishing in Alaska for those Big Halibuts. Think this one should work on that also.

Made up some last week that was 16" tall. Now that may well work. Take a whole Chicken and hook it up. Float that around the dams where you hear those story's about the catfish as big as VW's. Then hope that 300 lb spider wire holds.
All kidding aside I will try one one within the next few weeks on one hole where I catch good blue cats in. Should work good on one around 50 lbs or so.

I use 14/0 gamakatsau big river hooks...we use alot of green carp about 13 inches...plus use red drum.....people chuckle at us. but when we set back and catch 40-60lb catfish constantly.

I've got one of those hooks for the larger south Iowa bluegill. lol :D
Now for the real story. Back when I used to camp in a tipi, I always carried an extra pole on the truck rack. I would tie this hook on the end of the 25" pole. It started lots of interesting conversations. lol
That big ole circle hook is nasty looking. I'd hate to be foul hooked with it. ole giller
