Default Hi water. Todays views..... pics...

Went to lake and got my boat off dock lift. Gonna go back tomorrow and secure my dock. I can swim that far out with chains around my neck.

Me too, but I want risk my life for it. Ky Lake may break the high water lake level set in 1984. It was high water then. I could fish from the front porch.

    From Explore Ky web page:

Kentucky Lake is now projected to reach 369.7' by Friday at midnight, which is nearly 11 feet above normal summer elevation. The level could go even higher since TVA doesn't publicly predict water levels beyond 72 hours.

The record level for Kentucky Lake is 369.99' which was set May 11, 1984. The record low was 348.02' on March 11, 1961. Summer pool is 359'.

    However...........

TVA doesn't control the river during flooding. It is under the control of COE. TVA just reports the levels.

If you swim out to your dock make sure you wear your life vest! Good luck!

Crappie should be real shallow with all that rising water eh CP?

Won't you be glad when it recedes? I know you want to make sure your dock is ok.

My neighbor caught some crappie in the ditch behind his house yesterday from the bank.

I gotta go put a long rope on my dock and and secure it to the bank. Don't want the coast guard thinking I am Tom Sawyer on a raft.:p
At 370 feet, the dock can float off the spud poles..

What a genuine pain in the butt.

Talking about fishing from the front porch reminded me of the time we rented a house at the beach. At high tide the water came up under the pilings if the house and I fished off the deck. Pretty cool. Really freaked out my sister in law when she got up one morning and heard a sound coming from the freezer. Fresh caught croaker.....flopping around.
