Here's a peek inside the work of building a fisherman.

Sometimes it's a spur of the moment, no time for hooking up the boat and going to the lake.
This day we went to the little pond across the street and just spent a couple hours together dippin our lines in the water and playing with imaginary friends.
Oh.. and dodging the ole crab that lives in the house next door to the pond.

And then this day I took him for a promised trip for just us two. I knew that the crappie had been biting low and slow with a lot of patience needed. So, to prevent boredom we took some livers and went after the catfish. As you can see, he thought he was fisherKING. Even had to call his grandma from the boat to tell her he caught the "grandpa" catfish.
He also got a charge out of "driving" with our new trolling motor from CrappieClaus!

Now, I don't mind building me a fishin' buddy when it makes memories like this.:)

You gotta love that, as ya'll know I have 3 girls, two in training now and the third will be in a year or so , she's 18MO now. If I don't get them interested, I never will get to go. Gotta do something to keep them out of the mall! My best days are when the kids go with me. And the best feeling in the world is when they ask me to take them. Way to go Anchor Puller, as they say you look up one day and they are gone. We have to enjoy and teach them while we can, so later hopefully they will take us.
