    I hope you are doing this outside, them things stink. They do stay on the hook longer if you dry them out though.
    I got 350 heads on a 305 engine.
    I get 6 miles to the gallon.
    I aint got no good intentions.

    If you're wanting to dry them out, just spread them out on a paper towel in a room you're not using. Keep the door shut so the smell doesn't go all over the house. It will take about 3 hours to get them where they are fairly firm on the outside and still a little soft on the inside. If you wait too long they will get too stale and will be hard to put on the hook.

    If you want to have a little fun, don't say anything to the wife but let her sniff around till she finds them. Boy will she fuss, mine did.

    This way they will stay on the hook much longer and you don't have to worry about throwing them off the hook when casting.

    A buddy says he uses a hair dryer when he needs to get them ready in a hurry. If you do, I'm guessing he uses a bowl so they won't go everywhere.
