    Default Crappie lure size

What size of bodies do you fish??? (Poll)

I have always fished jigs as small as I can get
    1/32 oz Foxee bodies(about .6")
    regular tubes
    1"slider grubs
and on occasion I have gone down to 1/500 oz jigheads kind of like a fly,
    with very good luck.

But I never seem to think about it and go bigger when the fish are biting
unless its a bigger head to get depth.
Anybody religiously go bigger for bigger fish?
Im thinking I might broaden my tackle to a few bigger lures,
I was thinking about buying some 1.5" slider grubs, still not a big switch though.

I fish with the same size TUBE bodies from Mid South Tackle. They are 1 & 3/4" to 2" in total length. The fish in the RES seem to like them. They're the super jigs. In the SPAWN I will use a 1/100 oz or an 1/80oz jig head and put it in one of these big tube bodies with a cork set about 18" deep and BANG UM around stumps/roots/BOO/PVC!!!

    Default size of baits ...

The tubes I use are 1.5"-2" .... other "bodies" range from 1" to 3".
The jigs (hair/artificial fiber) are mostly 1/32-1/16oz.
The jigheads (plain, w/o bodies) are mostly 1/32-1/16oz.

Depends on the time of year and how actively they are biting. If they are being finicky I go smaller if they are slamming em I go up to a 3 inch grub, but mainly I use 1.5 inch tubes and 2 inch grubs with anything from a 1/64 ounce jig head to a 1/8 depending on the conditions depth and fishing method.
Good things come to those who bait.
