niangra arm update

headed for l o z mile 5 area on the niangra arm this weekend..does any one have any info for this area..unless we rent a boat, it will bank and crappie house fishing only. wish eveyone a funtastic and safe cdc camping trip. perhaps one of these days i will be able to join you. thanks for any advice.

Well, I was not in the Niangua, but last weekend on the Gravois they were hitting on the fronts (deep side) of the docks. I think the little males could have been up shallow, but was after bigger fish, (still didn't catch many bigger fish for that matter), but the pattern was in front of the docks as opposed to inside or shallower. Caught the majority casting with a swimming/jigging retrieve as opposed to vertical jigging. Hope this helps, with the weather this week they may have pushed back up shallower. Two weekends ago we caught quite a few males up in the typical spawning type areas.
