Default help is needed in the carolinas

weve had a pretty good discussion over on the sc board about these three fish me and pete caught at lake wateree recently. nothing was really settled about it and i decided to put the photo out here and ask the whole country what they thought. some of us think the middle fish is a white bass and the top and bottom fish are white perch. some think all three is white bass and some think all three are white perch. and some dont give a hoot, just shake em and cook em....sooooo i figgered it would be interesting to get other opinions on this important issue. so what you guys think?

I don't think we have White Perch here in Mo. at least i've never caught one. They sure look alike.Maybe I have caught one and did'nt know it. I throw em all back anyway, to much red meat.

White perch (http://www.dgif.virginia.gov/fishing...#White%20Perch) and white bass (http://www.dgif.virginia.gov/fishing...l#White%20Bass) are both members of the temperate bass family according to the VA DGIF. The white bass has some faint broken stripes on its sides and the white perch does not.

I would say that the top and bottom ones are white perch and the center one is a white bass.

We call them "Bar-fish" because of the black bars running down their side.
Most common name for them is White bass. At least down here in Louisiana.
I can't leave now; They fixen to turn on.

Looks like you have yourself three white bass. Possible to also be hybrid striper juveniles.
