    just finished rod storage rack. Maybe next on the list is to replace carpet:D

    the rails are made with 1" plastic. the tubes are 1-1/4 schedule 40. i routed the slots for the reel with 1/2" straight cut router bit. then i heated about 3/4" on the end with a propane torch and pushed it down on a top cap from a chain link fence post to get the "flair". while i held it to the cap i poured cold water on the tube to cool it down so it would keep the shape. then roughed up everything with sandpaper and painted.
