    Default Favorite Jig Colors

Hey guys, hope everyone is having a great New Year, just wondering what is your favorite color combo for your jigs. I primarily fish stained water, but also curious to know what is most used by you guys on clear lakes. I need to start fishing some of the deeper clearer lakes around here but I'm a little intimadated by the size. Just used to the smaller water . I mainly use blue and white, black and chartruse, and red and chartruse. What about ya'll?

On clearer water, I start with black with a chartreuse tail. Primarily use white, yellow, and red and white, probably in that order.

    Default Colors

On clear water I like blue/white, black/chart, white/silver/chart, white/chart/orange, pink/pearl, orange/chart, but I will try any and all colors til I find what they want. Sometimes it's the least I would expect. I think it has as much to do with the position of the sun and the shadows as I do the clarity of the water at times.

Our water here is pretty clear and depending on what the crappie want and the time of day I use white/char and grey/grey mostly but also use black/char, char/white or orange/black/char. I'm starting to try some trials with pink too.

My most succesful combo is a pearl body with a red or pink jighead or a red or pink head on a chartruese pepper body. I've also gotten them on grey with a black head or a black head on a clear or yellow body. Oh, I almost forgot glow-in-the-dark with a white head.

Well I have two colors I go to when I'm lookin for fish or when things get tough. Blue & White w/red or white head jighead. If the water dingy black & Blue w/ black or chart. head. But to be honest I @ 100 different colors in by box and if I find a new color I give her a try. I believe the best color is the one you have the most confidence in, if you think you're going to catch a fish on a particular color then most times you will and thats the most important thing.

God ain't never changed the color of a minnow.
