Default Stockton Lake Low Low Low

I WENT TO sTOCKTON THIS AFTERNOON AND KNEW IT WAS LOW,
BUT IT IS AWFULLY LOW. COULDN'T GET THE TOON OUT BECAUSE
OF DOCK CABLES, AND THE WIND WAS BAD ANYWAY. WE DROVE
AROUND CAMPSITES, CHECKING OUT THE WATER, AND WHAT
IMPRESSED ME WAS THERE IS NO COVER AT ALL ALONG THE BANKS.
THE LAKE IS 20 FT. DOWN OR SO, BUT THE BANKS AROUND STATE PARK
AND CEDAR RIDGE HAD NOTHING. I USUALLY PUT OUT PVC FOR
NIGHTSTALKING, IN DEEPER WATER, BUT NOW WOULD BE A GREAT TIME
FOR CRAPPIE FISHERMAN OR WHOEVER TO PUT COVER IN THE WATER.
IT IS AN OPPORTUNITY I WANT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF AS SOON AS
THERE IS ENOUGH WATER TO GET THE TOON OUT.
    REGARDS

chef, just out of curiousity, is stockton the most windy lake you've ever been on? I bet that only 1 out of every 5 times i fish that lake it is not horribly choppy. I've come close to sinking my boat a couple of times.

You Are Sure Right. The Wind Is What Started Me Nightstalking.
The Wind Is Terrible On That Lake. To Get Away From It I Started
Fishing In Late Evenings, And Then Met A Local Who Put Me
On To Underwater Lights For Crappie. When I Go Now It Is
At Night And No Matter What The Wind Is Doing During The Day
It Usually Lays After Dark, At Least Enough To Fish.

If we do not have a wet winter & spring many of these lakes will be hurting come summer.
