I love seein pics like that, makes my mouth water....nice one Sportsman!!
Fished first part of morning, until wife called someone took out mail box so that had to be fixed. Slow morning no more than one fish at a spot still managed 9 keepers and four or five dinks. Lake still very low I think main ramp only one open. Water temp was 59.5 when I left at 12:30 . Pic was first batch out of fryer last night after mail box was fixed. Life is Good..........

I was there yesterday also from about 11:30 - 3:30 with about the same luck. Managed 15 in the 10 1/2 - 12 in size with 10 or so smaller ones. Could only catch 2 or 3 at any one spot. All fish were caught on 1/16 oz jigs in 5-12 feet of water. Water was clear and about 64 degrees when I left. I will say that a 10 or 11 inch fish from Racoon has a lot more meat on it than one of the same size from Cataract.
bfbob all mine were caught on jig's also chartreuse with a red tail and Lindy tomatocore
1/16 weedless heads in 4 to 10 FOW. Had a friend staying there this week said he was having same luck. Maybe they will turn on buy weekend.
I've never caught any of those round crappie, pictured on the left. I bet they're really hard to clean.

They are a little tricky to clean. Need a real sharp knife and alot of patience and several cans of whats in the picture
Nice Catch Sportsman, I think the lake level being so low has something to do with the crappie. Last year I had caught several about this time but the lake was alot higher.
I still use one rod at a time!!
I was fine with my Arby's sandwiches for dinner tonight until now, Those crappies really look good.
Can you buy lake permits at the entrance????????????
Yes, I bought mine there last Saturday, truck and boat pass $56.00
