    Default Crappie rods?

Why does it seem all crappie rods I have seen have such small eyelets on the rods? Where I fish in the spring we get this popple fuzz they comes off the trees and floats on the water like tiny little balls of cotton, gets caught up on the fishing line and always jams up on those small eyelets on the rod so you can't cast out worth a darn. Why don't they make crappie rods with the bigger type eyelets?

There are plenty of crappie rods, or light action rods with casting eyes. The rods you are talking about are jigging rods, and are not really made to cast.
