    Default LOZ 7mm

Fished with my dad and wife on Sat. and Sun., and we caught a few, no giants, but had fun. We found them in and around docks in anywhere from 8-18' of water mainly at the mouths of coves, not much luck in the backs of the coves. Water temp was 55-58 deg. Color didn't seem to matter much, but blue/white, and clear/salt and pepper did pretty good. Mainly worked them with a semi-steady retrieve and would let it fall on a tight line every so often and they would thump it as it pendulumed down a lot of times. Cleaned a dozen or so and only 2-3 were females, we did let some bigger females go, and let a lot of 9-9.5" fish go too. Probably could have been close to 30 keepers if you count 9 inchers, but we typically only keep about 10-11". Biggest was a little over 12" female, but scale said it only weighed .6lbs, maybe time for a new scale? I'll be back next weekend and let you know how it goes.

I like my scale, it says all fish are at least 2#. what would a 12"er go before the spawn? after?

I should hope a 12" would be around a pound at least.
