Summit Lake

Took the wife and kids to Summit Lake this afternoon. Caught around a dozen crappie, 1 bass, and a big perch (10 inch). My wife caught the biggest crappie at 14 inches. Most were dinks. A couple were around 11 inches. all caught in 4-8 ft of water 2 feet down on miinows. Water termp was 59 -62 and stained. The bigger crappie were blacks and the dinks were whites.

I fished there alot growing up. I noticed it was starting to get way over fished. i havent been there in 2 years. I have hooked a great perch there also, it went 2lbs and 8 oz. it was like 4 ounces from the state record
