Nice catch Rugs! (However, I don't believe anything in your post, just sayin')
All I can say is WOW, I just went out to let the dog run a little, decided to throw the jig around the dock a little since I was there. Not so much as a bite, then bam! thought it was a catfish at first.
I was using my 5' ultra light rig with a black/chart slab buster just cast, let it drift back toward the dock a few seconds then reel in really slow.
I've been after a 2 lber for over a year now being on CDC.
I never thought it would happen here, in stead of Truman or such.
I went to get my phone out of the truck for a picture and "DEAD" and didn't have the car charger
I let it go because it is probably the patriarch or matriarch of this lake, so no pics, sorry.
Felt good though.
Edit:
Crap, I meant to post this on the main forum, maybe Bugs can move it for me, oh well.

We do not want the gift of a fish; neither do we expect a lesson on fishing; what we direly need is a chance to fish

Heck of a job, fished that lake a lot when I was at school at MVC. Caught a ton of nice fish, never one that big. Congrats
