    Default Hickory Grove

I fished Hickory Grove on Tuesday March 30th. It was very windy but we managed to catch 20 crappie over 10 inches. We used both minnows and night crawlers...they did not seem to care. Later in the day the crappie were on the north east wind blown side of the lake in very shallow water. We fished on the east end of the lake and the water temp was right around 51. The surface temp was at least 5 degrees cooler on the west end of the lake. I would have probably done better but I think the wind was blowing about 40mph. Next weekend I will try to make it to Big Creek.

    Thanks Nick
