Hey Ratmo,
It's been a few years since I lived there and fished Ray Hubbard. I know the ramps off of I-30 are good, but the fishing is much better down toward Rowlett. There are a lot of stick-ups and more structure for fishing there.
I can't remember the name of the highway....64 or something...has a bridge that is good for fishing. It runs parallel with 30 and may have a good ramp there.
Up towards 30 is more open water area better for recreational boating.
I've caught some good fish from the water down toward that Rowlett highway bridge.
I do know if you exit 30 there at Dalrock Rd, coming from Dallas. Turn left over the bridge and I think it's about 3 or 4 roads to the left is Cheasa Rd. Turn Left there and it takes you to a causeway across the lake. BEFORE you cross the lake on that causeway is/used to be a dirt ramp there on the right.
I had no trouble putting my 14 ft jon in there and it put me in the area for some good fishin'
Good luck in my old stompin' grounds~
