    Default Home Made Rod Holders

I am looking for ideas to make rod holders for my boat.
I like fiddling around, tinkering with the boat and would like to make rod holders rather than buy them.
Please show your HOME MADE ROD HOLDERS.
    Thanks

I made the entire setup from T-post to rod holders.

THAT LOOKS REALLY GOOD AND WELL DESIGNED!
I wonder how you made the center post? It looks like square tube with a stud in the center.

On the front I used 1/2" upright, cross bar is 3/4" with a reducer T and 3/4" pipe hangers and a 1/2" floor flange. Screw it on & off as needed. On the sides the picture kinda explains itself.

This is my old redneck pole troller, now it is not fancy but it works good for me. I have $35.00 in it, I bought a stick of square tubing and I had some scrap PVC pipe laying around the shop to make the holders for the poles. I used some PVC caps to make a holder on each side for a jar of crappie nibbles and I have my fish finder mounted at eye level so I can watch it and my poles at the same time. I know it is not the best but it works.

Man that looks good also, I think the best thing is to put what features you want on it to make it work for you. One thing have learned is you are always finding some thing new to add or try on your boat.

    Thanks.

It's 2" conduit with a 1/2" round bar threaded on both ends through the center. My plans were to just use the 1/2" by itself like a Perottibilt but I didn't like how much bounce that they had. Adding the conduit sleeve made them as solid as a rock.
