Like the talking heads in our local newsrag said ... this was the worst possible time, and the most important game, to let our poor shooting of 3's/FT's take us down. We've won games like this, before ... we just didn't do it "this time".

I agree with the people calling it an "upset". Seven point wins aren't a sign of being "owned" or a "blow out" (as some of the anti-UK fanboys have made it out to be ) . Any three of our missed 3 pointers go thru the nets, instead of clanking off the rim .... and the story changes to a "close game win" of a #1 seed over a #2 seed.

We ain't done too shabby, anyway ... all things considered. (new coach, freshman players, etc) This is just year #1 PBG (post Billy G) ... If I remember correctly, last year at this time we were losing to Notre Dame in the NIT :o

This is one reason why I do not like basketball that much. To me it is a lot different than football. I am not much for 64 teams being in a playoff. To me basketball and football would both be better with the top 8 teams playing for a title. Less games to be played and less chance for the best teams to have a down game. If the best team has a bad game anywhere along the line they are out of it. Usually they have a better chance of holding up in only playing 2 or 3 games. I do not have a horse in this race, but I do believe overall Kentucky is the best and most talented team. If they played WV 10 more times it would be a good chance they could win 8 of those against WV. You cant have a bad game or even a decent or semi decent team can beat you. I know that is the sytem and that is how it is, but you get the point.
