Default Getting rid of excess bass in a pond

A pond I fish seems overrun with bass and I catch a ton of them. An old man who fishes the pond advised me to "throw every one of them **** things up on the bank." I guess I don't like the idea of them suffocating. I would keep them in a bucket and dump them in another lake or stream but none are conveniently close to me. I don't eat bass or I'd keep them. Only thing I can think of is to cut their head off (hopefully a quick death) and dump them back in the water and let the other fish nibble on them. Anybody have any other ideas?

See if a homeless shelter or a senior center will take them.

Nah, not gonna drive a 5 gallon bucket of fish 30 miles into town or bother icing them down. I need an easy solution. They are stupid bass, I'm only gonna do but so much for em! :p

Why not eat them? They aren't bad at all. Maybe someone else will take them to eat.

Wasabi, are they fairly nice sized bass? If the pond's owner agrees, you could post this on the "Fishingva.com" website and prolly get the bassers to help w/this predicament.

Small bass are tasty. Bigger ones aren't the best but to each his own. Something good can be done with these fish. Just cuz you don't like em doesn't make em trash. Whatever.

Have him invite a boy scout group over to fish his pond for a day. Have a little fun tournament and have a rule that they have to keep every bass they catch. Most bass wins something. It doesn't have to be an expensive prize either. There's nothing like braggin rights with kids.

I love the idea of a kids fishing tourny. church youth group, boy scout troop, 4-H club, FFA, etc
