    i catch and release ones that size at smithville yearly,haha.i wonder if a fish that size has scales the size of a half dollar.i'll let you all know when i get back from smithville today if they do.

    Don't catch alot of crappie out of Kinkaid, but the ones I do catch are nice!!! Never caught one THAT NICE!!!! WOW WHAT A FISH!!!!

    Yep, ditto. Article mentioned a "hybrid" category, knew of Saugeye (sauger/walleye), Meanmouth bass(smallmouth/kentucky), Wiper, etc. but didn't know of hybrid crappie?? Whack Crappie? Blight Crappie?

    Yeah, from what I've read the hybrid crappie does not exist. There's white, black and a different strain of black - 'the black nose'
