Hello all,

Just moved to South Mills! Wanting to know where abouts to go fishing.

My kids have been fishing the canal and catching some catfish.

Any pointers on where to go for other fish! They would like to catch some crappie.
If you have any advice to share that would be greatly appreciated!

You fishing from a boat or the bank? CF

The bank right now! But can always get some advice for boats too!

That area is a little North of My range but this time of the year through May, anywhere bank fishing will give You a fair shot at crappie. a Boat will give You much better access to them. brim fishing will soon be picking up for the bank too. If i am not mistaken, the tail waters of the pasquotank are pretty close to Your neck of the woods. I'm sure there will be a pile of crappie there this spring. If You can get there by boat you could utilize those areas. Wish I could be of better help. CF

Yeah. i know the area. I live down on the South end close to the Albemarle Sound Bridge.CF
